Cultural events launch in Siófok and Szenttamás
A new classical music concert series is launching in Siófok, Hungary, supported by local government funding. Organized by organist and pianist Miklós Teleki, the series will take place at the Teátrum Kávéház over four Saturday evenings. The program features various performers, including pianist Márton Kovács, opera singer Nóra Ducza, pianist László Tóth, and flutist Márk Fülep. Local artists Miklós Teleki and László Kiss will also perform in January, with the series concluding in February with a quartet performance by Zoltán Zsigmond and Éva Zsigmondné Papp.
In Serbia, the Svetozar Miletić Gymnasium and Vocational School hosted the inaugural ‘Hangosítsd fel, hadd szóljon!’ student band festival at the Zsebszínház in Szenttamás. The event featured student musicians and teachers from Szenttamás, Bácsfeketehegy, and Óbecse. Beyond the musical performances, the festival served as a charity initiative to raise funds for the medical treatment of graduating student Ilijana Milenović. The program was made possible through support from the provincial education secretariat and the Hungarian National Council, which provided electrical instruments to help establish a local music club for students.
