Cultural events: Maassluis poet election and Antwerp dictation

In Maassluis, three candidates are set to compete for the role of City Poet (Stadsdichter) during an election evening on September 24. The candidates will present their personal motivations and submitted poems to a jury and the public. The event will also feature a formal farewell to the outgoing City Poet, Cedric Muchall.

In Antwerp, the seventh edition of the 'Grote dwarsdictee' was held at the University of Antwerp. Lisa Wouters was named the best game student of the year during the event, which featured a story written by campus poet Vince Noens. The competition drew participants interested in spelling and language arts.
