Cultural events mark anniversaries and festivals in Italy

The Corale S. Cecilia APS of Teramo is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a series of performances of Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem. The musical event, which is open to the community for free, will feature the Schola Cantorum San Sisto of L’Aquila and the Orchestra Benedetto Marcello of Teramo. The concert series includes performances in Montorio al Vomano on October 24, Ascoli on October 31, and Teramo on November 1.

In Palma Campania, the group Gli Amici di Pozzoromolo won both the Canzone d’Occasione and the Premio Goliardia during the festivities marking the start of the countdown to the 2027 Carnevale Palmese. The competition featured nine historic Quadriglie performing original or adapted musical pieces in Piazza Alfonso d’Aragona.
