Cultural events mark community heritage in Spain and Paraguay

In Alhaurín de la Torre, Spain, the book ‘El Peñón y Molina: memoria de unas barriadas de Alhaurín de la Torre’ was recently presented. Authored by Francisco Portillo Robles, Sebastián Elena Sánchez, and Felipe Fco. Córdoba Casas, the work aims to preserve the historical, social, and human memory of these two neighborhoods. The publication includes photographs, documents, and oral testimonies covering topics such as agriculture, education, sports, and local traditions.

Mayor Joaquín Villanova provided the prologue for the book. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Fundación CUDECA to support its social purposes.

In Paraguay, the Casa de Actores Guarambaré is bringing its production, ‘El Gran Show’, to the Teatro Municipal Ignacio A. Pane in Asunción. The performance features approximately 100 artists of various ages, including children and adults, combining theater and music. Directed by María Paz Vaezken, the event marks the company's debut on one of the capital's most traditional stages.
