Cultural events organized across various Italian municipalities

Various cultural initiatives are taking place across different Italian municipalities. In Lomazzo, the municipality and the Somaini Foundation are organizing a multidisciplinary program to celebrate the centenary of the birth of sculptor Francesco Somaini. The program includes workshops, community dances, and the installation of the sculpture ‘Fortunia vincitrice’ in via Cavour.

In Lumezzane, the ‘Spazi e Armonie 2026’ musical review concludes on September 27 with a performance titled ‘Cortocircuito’. The event features violinist Elisa Citterio and harpsichordist Stefano Demicheli, performing a dialogue between the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and contemporary compositions by Giovanni Sollima.

In Laveno Mombello, the Fondazione Officine dell’Acqua is hosting a vegetarian lunch on September 27 to raise funds for a new multifunctional room. The museum, located in repurposed railway warehouses on Lake Maggiore, aims to create a space for cultural, educational, and community activities related to navigation and traditional craftsmanship.
