Cultural events scheduled at Teatro Alaleona and Maggiore di Verbania

Writer Paolo Nori is set to present a 90-minute performance based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s masterpiece, “The Master and Margarita,” at the Teatro Domenico Alaleona in Montegiorgio on November 6. The performance explores themes of power, freedom, and the human condition through the lens of the 20th-century novel, which was written during the Stalinist era under heavy censorship.

In Verbania, Marco Paolini will inaugurate the 2026/2027 theatrical season at the Maggiore di Verbania on October 17. His production, “Bestiario Idrico,” co-written with Giulio Boccaletti, uses irony and civil engagement to examine Italy’s hydraulic landscape, including rivers, dams, and canals. The performance aligns with the foundation's new vision of the venue as an “aqueduct of knowledge.”
