Cultural events scheduled for Concepción and Valparaíso

Concepción will host the fourth edition of Oktoberfest at Plaza Bicentenario from October 30 to November 1. Organized by local brewers, the event features free entry, live music, and gastronomy. Musical acts include El EM3, Peter Ron, Facultad del Funk, and various tribute bands. A highlight of the festival is the launch of Festbier, a collaborative golden malt beer produced by the organizing breweries.

In Valparaíso, the Centex cultural encounter titled Árbol de Canciones is set for November 7 at Avenida Brasil. The event aims to promote public spaces through music, theater, and workshops. Scheduled performances include Javiera Parra and the Viña del Mar Chamber Orchestra. The program also features giant puppet theater inspired by Oscar Wilde, an open drawing jam, and textile workshops.
