Cultural events scheduled for Covasna and Zalău

Various cultural events are scheduled across Romania, including the ninth edition of ‘Ziua Cetății Zânelor’ in Covasna. Organized by the ‘Cetatea Dacică - Valea Zânelor’ Cultural Association in partnership with the National Museum of the Eastern Carpathians, the event will take place on August 22-23, 2026. Activities include an open day at the Fairy Fortress archaeological site on August 22, followed by workshops, exhibitions, and performances in Poiana Nedei on August 23.

In Zalău, the County Museum of History and Art is participating in the Zalău Municipality Days. The program features an urban discovery trail, educational workshops for families, and a virtual reality experience titled ‘Discover Green Zalău in VR!’. A central event is scheduled for August 29 in the pedestrian area in front of the museum, featuring workshop activities and a prize draw.
