Cultural events scheduled for Ilhéus and Juazeiro in Bahia

The city of Ilhéus will host the first Copa Jorge Amado de Bandas e Fanfarras on November 29, 2026. The event, which also serves as the third final of the 2026 Copa Sul-Baiana, will take place at Avenida Soares Lopes starting at 1:00 PM. Organized by the Ilhéus City Hall through the Municipal Secretariat of Education, the competition aims to celebrate marching band culture through musical performances and choreography.

In Juazeiro, singer Heitor Santos is scheduled to record a new edition of his “Heitor Santos nos Bairros” project on November 4, 2026. The free public event will be held in the Piranga neighborhood starting at 6:00 PM. The project seeks to bring the arrocha artist closer to various communities, following a large-scale recording in Recife that drew over 10,000 attendees.
