Cultural events scheduled for late October and early November in Zwolle and Geel

Reinier Sijpkens and pianist Diederik van der Laag will perform an improvisation concert at the Dominicanenkerk in Zwolle on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The performance, part of the ‘concert dichtbij’ concept, features the musicians playing known melodies in a spontaneous manner within an intimate setting designed to foster interaction between the artists and the audience.

In Geel, the annual ‘Reveil’ event will take place on Sunday, November 1, at the Sint-Dimpnakerkhof. This year’s theme, ‘Radio Reveil’, incorporates music, poetry, and life stories to provide comfort to those mourning lost loved ones. To accommodate more participants, the event will be held at three different times: 17:00, 18:00, and 19:00. Local talent Dries Bongaerts will provide music, while Maarten Vanhoof guides the program. In collaboration with Geel FM, visitors are invited to request songs and share the memories associated with them.
