Cultural events scheduled for October in the Netherlands

Several cultural events are scheduled in the Netherlands for October 2026. On Friday, October 9, the Kazemattenmuseum will host a special night for children up to 12 years old. As part of Children's Month in Friesland, Groningen, and Drenthe, children will receive free admission from 17:00 to 21:00. The event includes a scavenger hunt through the dark trenches of the Kornwerderzand fortifications, with free LED lights provided to participants.

On Saturday, October 10, the Oud-katholieke Augustinuskerk in The Hague will participate in the Hague Museum Night. From 19:00 to 24:00, the event will feature modern soundscapes played on the 300-year-old Garrelsorgel by organist Martijn Pranger and producer Xhabi. The evening also serves as a fundraiser to support the restoration of the organ, which requires repairs due to lead corrosion in its wind channels.
