Cultural and philanthropic events highlight art and oncology in Italy

Various cultural and charitable initiatives are taking place across Italy. In Rome, the Teatro dell’Opera is presenting a contemporary dance trilogy featuring works by Jerome Robbins, Marco Goecke, and Pina Bausch, paying homage to the Ballets Russes and Sergej Djagilev.

In the visual arts, Daniele Contavalli is presenting “Stati crepuscolari della coscienza 2” at Studio Massimo Napoli in Rome, an exhibition exploring the relationship between image, memory, and violence. Additionally, American artist Matt Mullican is scheduled for a lecture-performance at MACRO and an exhibition at Studio Varroni in Rome.

In the medical sector, the association Fabbrica 55 has donated 10,000 euros to the oncology department at Humanitas Mater Domini in Castellanza. These funds will support patient well-being projects, including the “Dance 4 Oncology” program, which utilizes dance to assist patients undergoing chemotherapy.
