Cultural events scheduled in Alanís and Encinas Reales

Various cultural and traditional events are scheduled to take place in the Andalusia region of Spain this August.

In Alanís, the Bodega Solana de la Bernarda will host the third edition of its ‘Patrimonio bajo las estrellas’ wine tasting on August 20. Held at the 14th-century Ermita de San Juan in the Sierra Norte, the event features a guided tasting of six red wines, including Garnacha, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Cabernet, as well as house specialties.

In Encinas Reales, the sixteenth ‘Noche Encandilada’ is set for August 29. This tradition involves turning off all electric lighting in the municipality to highlight candlelight and fire performances. The event, which originated as an energy-saving initiative, includes music, art, and local heritage showcases. Activities begin on August 28 with children's workshops and musical performances.
