Cultural events scheduled in Arona and Terra del Sole

Various cultural and historical events are scheduled to take place in Italy during the weekend of September 19-20, 2026.

In Arona, the Statue of San Carlo Borromeo will host the ‘Benvenuto Autunno’ event on September 19. Organized by Archeologistics in collaboration with Azienda Guffanti, the program includes a guided tour of the monument, which allows visitors to access a panoramic terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore, followed by a local cheese tasting at the base of the statue.

In Terra del Sole, the ‘Ad 1387 - Battaglia a Terra del Sole’ historical reenactment will take place at the Bastione di San Martino. The event features over 300 reenactors from Italy, Austria, and France, recreating a 1387 battle. The weekend will include medieval markets, archery, and historical culinary displays, showcasing daily life and military encampments from the period between 1360 and 1410.
