Cultural events scheduled in Balegem and Poperinge

Two distinct cultural performances are scheduled to take place in Belgium.

In Balegem, the Sint-Martinuskerk will host a special screening of Charlie Chaplin’s 1925 film ‘The Gold Rush’ on Friday, October 30, 2026. The event features live organ accompaniment by Paul De Maeyer, who will use improvisation to sync the music with the film’s comedic and emotional scenes.

In Poperinge, the Hopmuseum will host ‘Van nergens en overal’ on Saturday, November 13. The performance features actress and spoken-word artist Antje De Boeck alongside musician Kathleen Vandenhoudt. The show combines spoken word, song, and guitar to explore themes of grief, vulnerability, and resilience.
