Cultural events scheduled in France and Latvia

The Maison de la Terre in Bourbach-le-Bas has announced a series of geological and historical programs running from August 24 to August 30. Activities include guided walks through the Thur valley to explore ancient ocean floors, visits to the silver mines of the Soultzbach valley near Wegscheid, and tours of the Wolfloch cave in Sentheim. The program also features the geology museum in Sentheim, showcasing rocks, crystals, and fossils.

In Latvia, the GEM theatre festival is scheduled from September 9 to September 12. The lineup includes several productions: ‘Nous étions la forêt’, a musical comedy regarding a photovoltaic park installation; ‘Arianne, un pas avant la chute’, a multi-format performance blending theatre, cinema, and live concert; ‘Damoclès et moi’, a play exploring invisible disabilities; and ‘The Loop’, a legal drama.
