Cultural events scheduled in France for 2026

Various cultural events are scheduled in France, including film development sessions and storytelling festivals.

On October 16, 2026, Villa Valmont will host a meeting for authors to pitch fiction and documentary film projects. Eight authors, who have undergone a maturation process with consultants, will present their work. Featured projects include Coline Delouette’s ‘Il sait’ and Fiorella Glave Raggio’s ‘Patricia’, a project exploring identity and migration through a Peruvian family’s journey in Europe.

Additionally, the ‘Conteurs en Campagne’ festival, organized by the association Contes à tous vents in collaboration with the Musée de la vie rurale in Steenwerck and the Foyers Ruraux du Nord et du Pas-de-Calais, is set for September 18, 2026. The event will feature a program presentation and an open mic session titled ‘Histoires d’un soir’ showcasing four professional storytellers.
