Cultural events scheduled in Germany

Various cultural performances and events are scheduled to take place in Germany. In Grevenbroich, the Villa Erckens will host a puppet theater production by Theater Töfte titled “… und konnten es einfach nicht fassen!”. The 75-minute play explores the literary paths of Klaus Mann and Erich Kästner, focusing on their divergent responses to the rise of the Nazi regime in 1933. While the Mann family emigrated to avoid life in the Third Reich, Kästner chose to remain in Germany to serve as a witness to history.

In Stemwede-Wehdem, the Tales & Puppets figure theater will perform “Räuber Ratte” at the Life House on November 8, 2026. Based on the work of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the production is designed for children aged four and up. The event will be held in conjunction with a book flea market organized by the Landfrauen.
