Cultural events scheduled in Italy focus on literary figures

Several literary events are scheduled to take place in Italy, focusing on significant authors and their works.

On November 18, 2026, the Centro Nazionale di Studi Leopardiani will host the third meeting of the “Letture dei Canti” cycle at the Accademia delle Scienze dell’Istituto di Bologna. Curated by Andrea Campana and Paola Italia, the event will feature readings and commentary on various poems from Giacomo Leopardi’s Canti. The session will be available both in person and remotely.

In Livorno, the Biblioteca dei Bottini dell'Olio will host an event on November 9 dedicated to Carlo Coccioli, an internationally renowned writer from Livorno. This meeting concludes the series “Translinguismo nella filosofia e nella narrativa,” which explores authors who write in languages other than their mother tongue. Speakers Laura Bastogi, Pardo Fornaciari, and Marco Ceccarini will discuss Coccioli’s literary contributions in Italian, French, and Spanish.
