Cultural events scheduled in Lecce and Molfetta

Several cultural events are scheduled in Italy for October 2026. In Lecce, the MUST OFF Gallery will host the third edition of the international art exhibition ‘Stories of Identity’. Curated by art historian Carmela Loiacono, the collective exhibition features 19 artists from around the world exploring human identity through contemporary art. The exhibition is set to open on October 16 and will run until October 25.

In Molfetta, as part of the Storie Italiane Festival, Annastella Carrino, a professor of modern history at the University of Bari, will present her new book, ‘Prima lezione di storia di genere’ (First Lesson in Gender History), at the Il Ghigno bookstore on October 22. The presentation, moderated by Lea Durante, will examine the evolution of gender as a historiographical category and its role in interpreting past societies and marginalized experiences.
