Cultural events and book presentations scheduled across Portugal

Various cultural activities are taking place across Portugal, including literary presentations and theatrical performances. In Oliveira de Azeméis, writer Óscar Amorim and director Manuel Soares held an improvised session titled ‘A viagem pela vida através dos livros’, where they discussed Amorim's novels through staged conversation.

In Guimarães, Francisco Louçã will present the second volume of his work, ‘Imaginação’, at the Sociedade Martins Sarmento on October 24. The book explores how imagination shapes utopias, science, and daily life.

Other upcoming events in Lisbon and Leiria include a horror film festival at Impact Hub Cowork, the play ‘COCK’ at Teatro Maria Matos, and a concert by Anastacia at Sagres Campo Pequeno. Additionally, the NEXXT Leiria 2026 festival will feature unscripted storytelling in Leiria.
