Cultural events scheduled in Pieranica and Penna San Giovanni

Various cultural events are scheduled in Italy, including a new theatrical series and a commemorative musical performance.

In Pieranica, the ‘Teatro con gioia’ series will begin on October 3. Organized by Pier Giorgio Ruggeri, the event features local theater companies performing in both Italian and dialect. The lineup includes the company ‘I Guitti’ performing ‘Fiori d’acciaio’, ‘Schizzaidee’ presenting ‘Perché lù l’è prope isè’, and ‘Le quattro vie’ with ‘Le quatre surele’. Admission is based on a free offering with a minimum suggested contribution of 5 euros.

In Penna San Giovanni, the Festival Storie will host a tribute to Carlo Urbani on October 4 at the Teatro Comunale. The event will honor the Marche physician who died in 2003 while fighting the SARS epidemic. The program consists of musical readings performed by the ‘L’Aurora’ band from Castelplanio and Poggio San Marcello, narrated by Mirko Donninelli and directed by Gabriele Contadini. Urbani’s wife, Giuliana, will be in attendance to provide testimony.
