Cultural events scheduled in Valencia region

Several theatrical performances are scheduled in the Valencia region. In Torrent, veteran actress Lola Herrera will star in “Camino a la Meca” at L’Auditori de Torrent on November 7. The play, written by Athol Fugard and directed by Claudio Tolachir, is inspired by the life of South African artist Helen Martins.

Additionally, the XVII Mostra de Teatre Amateur “Juan Manuel Ferraro” begins this weekend, organized by Coturno Teatro. The festival will showcase amateur theater from the Valencian Community throughout November, opening with the play “La decisió de Lola” by Pànic Escènic.

In Paiporta, a dramatized reading of Jerónimo Cornelles’ “Salomé, una tragèdia contemporània” will take place on November 6 at the Museu de la Rajoleria. The piece serves as a satirical reflection on political responsibilities and management following the 2024 Dana floods, which resulted in 234 deaths in the region.
