Cultural events scheduled in Velletri and Ginestra

Velletri will host a series of events dedicated to mythology and art at the Teatro Artemisio Gian Maria Volonté. Part of the ‘Museo come Comunità’ project supported by the Lazio Region, the program includes the presentation of the illustrated book ‘Le dodici fatiche di Ercole’, a theatrical performance titled ‘Ercole Dodekathlos – Dodici passi verso la luce’, and an awards ceremony for a student competition focused on imagining a ‘Thirteenth Labor of Hercules’. The initiative aims to connect younger generations with the city's archaeological heritage, specifically the 2nd-century AD Sarcophagus of the Labors of Hercules.

In Ginestra, the ‘Liakra et Bare – Il Borgo dei Sapori Arbëreshë’ event will take place on October 24. The program features a workshop on traditional medicinal herbs, a gastronomic tour of the historic center, and a video-mapping display on the Church of San Nicola Vescovo. The evening will include a reading by poet Franco Arminio titled ‘La grazia della fragilità’ and a musical performance by guitarist Mirko Gisonte.
