Cultural exhibitions and animation showcases held in Brazil

Various cultural events are taking place across Brazil, including photography exhibitions and animation screenings. In Caicó, the “Boi de Prata” exhibition is opening at Secult Caicó as part of the 9th Curta Caicó program. The showcase features 20 historical behind-the-scenes images from the classic film directed by Augusto Ribeiro Júnior, with most photographs captured by cinematographer Walter Carvalho.

In Fortaleza, CAIXA Cultural has extended the visitation period for the “Fortaleza por Otacílio de Azevedo e Nirez” exhibition until November 1. The display includes approximately 150 historical photographs, documents, and iconographic materials documenting the urban formation and daily life of Fortaleza throughout the 20th century. The exhibition has already attracted over 10,000 visitors.

Additionally, the DIA (International Animation Day) showcase in Sergipe features several animated works. The program includes 2D animations such as “Esperança,” a story about a young girl aspiring to be a professional football player, and “O Leão e o Rato,” an animation in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language). Other featured works include “Vaca Amarela,” “O Jardim Mágico,” and a stop-motion project titled “O Chapéu do Zezéu” created by students from a rural school in Lagoa Nova.
