Cultural exhibitions announced in Málaga and Seville

The Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País (SEAP) in Málaga is hosting ‘Imaginary Cities’, an exhibition by artist and architect Pablo Dawid running until September 26, 2026. Supported by the Diputación de Málaga, the showcase explores urban landscapes through a fusion of architecture, artificial intelligence, and generative art. The collection includes 79 pieces, consisting of 55 generative artworks representing ideal cities, 21 paintings and drawings, and three architectural models. The project draws inspiration from Italo Calvino’s ‘Invisible Cities’ to examine the relationship between AI, artistic creation, and urban memory.

In Seville, CaixaForum will host ‘The Worlds of Alice: Dreaming of Wonderland’ starting in December 2026. Produced by the ”la Caixa” Foundation and created by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the exhibition explores the cultural impact and artistic reinventions of Lewis Carroll’s character 160 years after its creation. The exhibition is scheduled to run until April 4, 2027, and serves as a comprehensive look at the Victorian phenomenon and its enduring influence on the collective imagination.
