Cultural exhibitions open at Museo Bellapart and Alhóndiga
The Museo Bellapart has launched the exhibition ‘El Prado en el centro: fotografía y memoria’ as part of the 12th Photoimagen International Festival. This collaborative project involves the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Eduardo León Jimenes Foundation, Centro León, Centro de la Imagen, and the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation. The exhibition features works by Dominican artists Polibio Díaz, Fausto Ortiz, and Mayra Johnson, alongside contemporary Spanish photographers, drawing inspiration from the Prado Museum’s collections and architecture.
In Spain, the 108th edition of the Curso de Pintores Pensionados concluded with the ‘Paisaje Pintado’ exhibition at the Alhóndiga. Organized by the Real Academia de Historia y Arte de San Quirce, the event showcased works from sixteen artists selected by fine arts faculties across Spain. The exhibition highlighted the diverse landscapes and color palettes of Segovia, while also addressing calls for the program to return to its historical headquarters at the Palacio de Quintanar.
