Cultural exhibitions open in Čakovec and Split
Several new cultural exhibitions have opened in Croatia. In Čakovec, the eleventh installment of the ‘Čakovec nekad’ exhibition is currently on display at the Scheier Building. Curated by Daniel Hampamer Kiga, the collection features photographs of Republic Square spanning from the early 20th century to the present day. Many of the images were sourced from private archives via the ‘Čakovčanke & Čakovčanci’ Facebook group, documenting the urban development and social history of the central city space.
In Split, the Split City Museum is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Art of the Old Masters’ at the Old City Hall. The exhibition features 28 selected works from the Zagreb Museum of Arts and Crafts, which is currently undergoing renovation. The collection includes oils on canvas, copper engravings, and wood carvings by European masters such as Jan Victors, Andrija Medulić, Schiavone, and Guido Reni. The exhibition is scheduled to run until the end of February.
