Cultural exhibitions open in Brazil featuring autism artists and Black history
Two distinct cultural exhibitions are currently being held in Brazil. In one event, the “Arte no Espectro: as mais variadas expressões” exhibition is hosted at the Municipal Chamber, showcasing visual arts and crafts created by artists from the “Aldo Pavão Junior” Municipal Reference Center for Autism. The works were developed during workshops at the “Dr. Eduardo Lauand” Specialized Rehabilitation Center and are on display through October 30.
In Itabira, the exhibition “Correspondências: memória, imagem e presença” is part of the Flitabira 2026 festival. Running from October 29 to November 1 at the Carlos Drummond de Andrade Cultural Foundation, the showcase uses historical photographs and letters to reflect on the role and history of the Black population in the formation of cities in southern Minas Gerais, specifically Poços de Caldas. The project is part of the Memorial Vale Itinerante initiative.
