Cultural exhibitions open in Cádiz and Malagón
Several cultural exhibitions are currently being held in Spain to highlight regional heritage and religious history.
In Cádiz, the ‘Raíces Vivas’ exhibition is hosted at the Fundación Municipal de la Mujer. Serving as a precursor to the XXXI International Folklore Festival of the City of Cádiz, the project explores the ethnographic diversity of the province through traditional clothing, music, and dance. The exhibition aims to protect cultural legacies vulnerable to globalization and rural depopulation by offering an immersive experience of various regions, including La Sierra and the Campo de Gibraltar.
Meanwhile, the itinerant exhibition ‘San Juan de la Cruz, Esperanza de Alto Vuelo’ has arrived at the Centro Cultural Santa Teresa in Malagón. The display features 40 informative panels with artistic engravings that trace the life, literary works, and spiritual dimension of the mystic doctor. This traveling version of the exhibition commemorates the dual centenary of his canonization and his proclamation as a Doctor of the Church.
