Cultural exhibitions open in Rubí and Maó
Two cultural exhibitions have opened in Spain to showcase local history and architectural heritage.
In Rubí, the Espai Expositiu Antiga Estació is hosting ‘Rubí. Imatges del primer terç del segle XX’. Produced by the Museu Municipal Castell, the exhibition features approximately fifty photographs by Lucien Roisin Besnard. These images depict the town’s transition from an agricultural society to early industrialization, capturing landmarks such as the font del Bullidor and the Cal Mosques factory. The display is available until October 25.
In Maó, the Sala de Cultura Sant Antoni is hosting an exhibition marking the 25th anniversary of the major rehabilitation of the Teatre Principal de Maó. Organized by the Teatre Principal de Maó Foundation and the Maó City Council, the exhibit includes black-and-white photography by Toni Vidal, documentary images, architectural plans by Juan J. Gomila and Domènec Enrich, and antique furniture. The exhibition runs until October 10.
