Cultural exhibitions open in Segura and Coimbra

The village of Segura is hosting the itinerant exhibition ‘Landscape Together – Fazer comunidades territoriais no Centro Interior’ until September 24. Developed by the University of Coimbra as part of a European project, the exhibition showcases architectural proposals and territorial strategies created by students. The Segura-specific project, titled ‘Segura, a Aldeia que Acolhe’, focuses on the village's border position and its relationship with the Via da Estrela. Key proposals include a hostel for pilgrims, a wellness center, and a local artisanal production hub designed to strengthen village identity and economic development.

In Coimbra, the Almedina Gallery of the Coimbra Municipal Museum is hosting ‘O muro, o espaço e nós’, an exhibition by artist Barbara Eitel running from September 10 to December 6. The collection explores the relationship between drawing and physical space, using graphic elements to reinterpret architectural structures. Eitel’s work moves beyond conventional drawing to create three-dimensional dialogues with the walls and limits of the gallery, questioning how humans inhabit and perceive space.
