Cultural exhibitions opening at Palazzo Medici Riccardi and EUR

Two major cultural exhibitions are opening in Italy. At Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the exhibition ‘Oltre il Rinascimento. Tra Dürer e Parmigianino’ runs from September 10, 2026, to January 5, 2027. The show focuses on European Mannerist graphics and the relationship between contemporary artist Georg Baselitz and 16th-century masters. It features approximately 150 works from Baselitz’s private collection and the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest.

In Rome, the Palazzo Uffici at EUR will host ‘EUR – UNA STORIA LUNGA 90 ANNI’ from November 6, 2026, to February 7, 2027. This exhibition commemorates the 90th anniversary of the EUR district, tracing its origins from the 1936 establishment of the Ente Esposizione Universale di Roma through its urban and architectural evolution. The display utilizes historical documents, photographs, and immersive installations to detail the development of this iconic Roman neighborhood.
