Cultural exhibitions scheduled for Fukuoka in late 2026

Fukuoka will host two major cultural exhibitions in late 2026 and early 2027.

At the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store, the “Tetsuko no Heya 50th Anniversary Exhibition: With Love” will run from November 19 to December 13, 2026. The event celebrates 50 years of the long-running talk show hosted by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, featuring memorabilia, studio set evolutions, and curated quotes from guests.

Additionally, the Fukuoka Mitsukoshi department store will host the “30th Anniversary Great Tamagotchi Exhibition” from December 29, 2026, to January 25, 2027. The exhibition commemorates the 30th anniversary of Bandai’s digital pet, showcasing the evolution of the device from its 1996 debut to its modern iterations. The event includes interactive experiences and exclusive merchandise.
