Cultural exhibitions showcase jewelry and bullfighting traditions
In the Dominican Republic, designer Cindy Martínez debuted her “Alquimia” collection from her brand CIMA during RD Fashion Week. The collection, consisting of over 30 pieces, explores the evolution of jewelry from primitive body adornment to contemporary art. The presentation featured a minimalist aesthetic with models dressed in white and walking barefoot to emphasize the jewelry as the central focus.
In Huamantla, Mexico, the Museo Taurino hosted the “Bordando Sueños” exhibition, which highlights the history and artistry of “capotes de paseo” (bullfighting capes). The event included a runway show, a monologue by Rafael “El Sastre Taurino” regarding the ornamental details of the garments, and a lecture on the historical significance of bullfighting culture in Tlaxcala.
