Cultural festivals and art colonies held in Bosut and Borovo

Various cultural events recently took place in the region, highlighting traditional arts and international creativity. In Bosut, the “Veče folklora” event was organized by the Cultural and Artistic Society “Bosut” at the “Branko Radičević” Primary School. The manifestation featured performances from nine different cultural and artistic societies, including groups from Novi Sad, Balatun, and Erdevik, showcasing traditional folk dances, songs, and costumes.

In Borovo, the 35th International Art Colony, organized by the Cultural and Artistic Society “Branislav Nušić,” concluded after running from September 4 to 6. The event brought together 29 artists from Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The colony resulted in the creation of 46 paintings, one wood carving, and a new mural by Belgrade painter Nenad Stojkov, which depicts swallows as symbols of freedom. The event also included a moment of silence to honor deceased founders of the former “Sava Šumanović” Art Society and past participants.
