Cultural festivals and celebrations held in Igualada and Andorra

Various cultural celebrations and festivals are taking place in Igualada and throughout Andorra.

In Igualada, the eve of Sant Bartomeu features a diverse program including the Diana dels Moixiganguers d’Igualada, a petanque tournament, and a Catalan dance championship. Religious ceremonies at the Basilica of Santa Maria will include the ball de l’Àliga and the transfer of Sant Bartomeu. The festivities also include human tower performances (castells) by Xiquets de Reus, Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls, and the local Moixiganguers d'Igualada, alongside concerts, children's shows, and football matches.

In Andorra, Santa Coloma is hosting its Festa Major with activities such as bell ringing, a sardinada, and concerts. Other regional cultural events include nature walks in Macarulla, the ‘Dones d’Aigua’ exhibition in Escaldes-Engordany, and a classic cinema illustration exhibition at the Museu del Còmic in La Massana. Additionally, environmental art installations are available at Llac d’Engolasters, and a photographic exhibition regarding the Sanctuary of Meritxell is ongoing in Canillo.
