Cultural festivals and musical events scheduled across Greece

Greece is hosting several cultural events this August, including the 14th Pan-Thessalian Poetry Festival and a musical performance at the Dion archaeological site.

The 14th Pan-Thessalian Poetry Festival begins on August 24 in Makrinitsa, Pelion, and will conclude in Athens on September 2. Under the theme ‘Translating Thessaly: Poetry, Landscape, Visual Dialogue,’ the festival features over 70 Greek and international poets. The program includes poetry readings, musical events, book presentations, and an art exhibition curated by Antigoni Kapsali. Organized by Thrace AMKE and the Deputy Mayor of Culture of Larissa, the event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the University of Thessaly.

Additionally, the Olympus Festival will host a musical evening under a full moon at the Dion archaeological site on August 29. Performers Frosy Deligianniou, Konstantinos Papargyropoulos, and Nikos Milios will provide music for the event, which is free to the public.
