Cultural festivals and orchestral cycles announced in Venezuela and Colombia

In Venezuela, El Sistema is launching a new cycle for the Orquesta Alma Llanera. The inaugural concert will take place on Sunday, October 18, at the Sala Simón Bolívar in Caracas. The ensemble, which brings together young musicians from various regional nuclei, blends symphonic discipline with traditional Venezuelan rhythms using instruments such as the cuatro, mandolin, harp, and folk percussion. The repertoire includes diverse regional styles, including larense golpes, gaita de furro, and Andean waltzes.

In Colombia, the Hip Hop al Parque 2026 festival is scheduled for October 24 and 25 at the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park in Bogotá. The free event will feature 28 national and international groups, including artists from the United States, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and France. The festival focuses on urban culture, featuring not only music but also graffiti exhibitions and dance battles, highlighting the role of neighborhoods and streets in artistic creation.
