Cultural festivals and professional training programs launch in Pará
The state of Pará is hosting several cultural initiatives aimed at professional development and artistic expression. The Círio Iluminado 2026 project in Belém has launched a program focused on professional qualification, sustainability, and income generation. Starting August 17, the project offers free courses in cultural production, sustainable crafts, and inclusive painting to promote entrepreneurship and social responsibility.
Simultaneously, the third edition of the Festival Novíssimo de Cinema Paraense will take place from August 18 to 22. The festival aims to decentralize culture by holding events in both Tucuruí and Belém. The program includes free screenings of short films, documentaries, and music videos, alongside debates, training activities, and awards for independent filmmakers. While maintaining a focus on local Pará productions, the festival has expanded to include works from other Brazilian states.
