Cultural festivals and Rakugo performances scheduled in Japan

Various cultural events are scheduled in Hyogo and Kagawa prefectures. In Takarazuka City, the Takarazuka City Central Public Hall will host the third installment of the “Yoimachi Yose: Noryo Obake Banashi” on August 29, 2026. This traditional Rakugo performance features ghost stories accompanied by shamisen and drums, offering an interactive experience for children.

Additionally, the Setouchi International Music Festival is set to take place from September 19 to 22, 2026. Founded by pianist Tomona Miyazaki, the festival aims to connect people through music. The final day on September 22 will be held in Miki Town at the Miki Town Cultural Exchange Plaza, featuring a blacklight theater performance, a handmade instrument workshop, and a concert titled “Songs of the World’s Heart.”
