Cultural festivals announced for Chaco and Valparaíso

The Feria Iberoamericana del Libro Chaco 2026 will conclude its final weekend with a Poetry Festival at Espacio UNNE. Running from October 9 to 11, the event will feature more than 30 authors from the Chaco and Corrientes regions. The festival aims to connect established writers with emerging voices and students from the Centro Cultural Nordeste poetry workshop through various reading sessions.

In Chile, the XIII Valparaíso International Arts Biennial has announced the 100 selected works for its 2026 edition. Following a call for entries that received approximately 600 proposals, the selected artists and collectives will explore themes such as territory, memory, identity, and urban spaces. Under the curatorial theme ‘The Right to the City: Contemporary Poetics for Inhabiting the Common,’ the biennial will be held in various locations throughout Valparaíso to engage directly with the city and its residents.
