Cultural festivals announced for Cochabamba and Paraná in 2026

The XIX Cochabamba International Book Fair (FILC) has announced its 2026 program, scheduled for October 7–18 at the Alalay Fairgrounds in Bolivia. Germany will serve as the guest country, highlighting historical editorial ties to the region. The event's official imagery, created by illustrator Darek Larrazábal without the use of artificial intelligence, features a local reinterpretation of the Pied Piper, replacing the flute with a charango.

In Argentina, the Paraná International Photography Festival (FIFPA) is set to take place on December 17–18, 2026, at the Juan L. Ortiz Cultural Center. Organized by Una Foto Escuela under the direction of Eduardo Segura, the festival will feature photographic exhibitions, debates, workshops, and a marketplace for visual arts and crafts, aiming to foster community and professional exchange.
