Cultural festivals announced for Córdoba and Tamaulipas

The Municipality of Córdoba has launched the 2026 call for 'Cultura de Barrio' as part of the Córdoba Book Fair, scheduled for October 30 to November 15. The program aims to strengthen and highlight community cultural processes. It features two tracks: 'La Biblio te cuenta' for popular libraries to promote cultural dialogue, and 'Territorios' for neighborhood organizations to foster local ties. A total of 50 selected projects will receive 900,000 pesos in support, with activities running through April 2027.

In Mexico, the Tamaulipas State Government, through the Secretary of Social Welfare and the Tamaulipas Institute for Culture and the Arts (ITCA), is preparing the 2026 Tamaulipas Film Encounter. Set for September 20 to 24, the event will include training, screenings, and networking activities. The initiative seeks to expand audiovisual production opportunities and reach various regions of the state beyond the capital to support local creators and students.
