Various cultural festivals have announced upcoming dates and themes. In Guatemala, the Recorrido de Leyendas 2026 will take place at Cerrito del Carmen from October 23 to October 31. This edition commemorates 250 years of history regarding the city's founding in the Valle de la Ermita. The event features over 30 actors performing historical and legendary characters, utilizing special effects and interactive experiences to share Guatemalan traditions.

In Colombia, the Fundación Festival de la Leyenda Vallenata has announced that the 60th edition of its festival will be held from April 28 to May 1, 2027. This milestone edition, titled ‘Rey de Reyes’, will celebrate the festival's history since its inception in 1968. The event includes competitions for professional accordion, unpublished Vallenato songs, and the introduction of a ‘Reina de Reinas’ category. Vallenato music is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
