Cultural festivals announced for Joaçaba and Joinville in 2026

The state of Santa Catarina is preparing for two major cultural events in late 2026. In Joaçaba, the FESTEJO (Festival de Teatro de Joaçaba) will take place from September 13 to 19. The festival features a variety of theatrical performances, workshops, street parades, and discussions. Organized by the Joaçaba Municipal Government and produced by Grupo Teatral Reminiscências, the event aims to strengthen the local theater scene and provide community access to diverse artistic experiences.

In Joinville, the Fenachopp festival is returning to Expoville for its 2026 edition. The event will span two consecutive weekends: September 24 to 27 and October 1 to 4. This edition introduces a new structure at Expoville, including approximately 15,000 square meters of integrated spaces, covered pavilions, and a large-scale 'Bier Platz' area. Attractions will include gastronomy, music, an amusement park, and an outdoor zipline.
