Cultural festivals announced for Mainz and Gönnheim

Various cultural events are scheduled in Germany. In Mainz, the fourth edition of the ‘Mainz leuchtet – Das Late Night Festival’ will feature light installations and video projections designed by students from Hochschule Mainz. The festival will span ten stations between Rheingoldhalle and Schillerplatz, including 3D animations at the Cathedral and a digital forest transformation at Jockel-Fuchs-Platz. The event runs from 20:00 to 23:00 over three evenings.

In Gönnheim, the ‘Gönnheimer Kerwe’ festival is set for late August. The event includes musical performances, a historical tour titled ‘Gadepädelcher’, and activities for children. A new public bookshelf, funded by proceeds from previous festivals, will also be introduced at Marktler Platz.
