Cultural festivals announced in Córdoba, Argentina and Carcabuey, Spain

The Agencia Córdoba Cultura has selected five independent local productions to participate in the 13th International Theatre Festival for Children and Youth, scheduled for October 1–4, 2026, in Córdoba, Argentina. The selected works include productions by groups BiNeural-MonoKultur, Teatro de Ilusiones Animadas, Muttis Teatro, Marionetas en Libertad, and Egos Teatro para las Infancias. These performances will be held in various venues across the province, joining an international lineup of shows.

In Spain, the Diputación de Córdoba has announced the fifth edition of the SonRaíz festival, taking place in Carcabuey from September 18–20, 2026. Under the theme ‘Cultura de origen’, the event focuses on rural ‘artivism’, sustainability, and gender equality, highlighting female artists and creators. To enhance safety and fire prevention, the ‘Monte’ stage has been relocated to the Carcabuey Municipal Park.

Both initiatives aim to promote regional culture and local talent through specialized artistic gatherings.
