Cultural festivals announced in Gibraleón and Tenerife

The town of Gibraleón will host the 19th Jazzolontia International Jazz Festival from September 18 to 20, 2026. Organized by the Colectivo Cultural Olontia and the Gibraleón City Council, the event will take place at the Centro Cultural Convento de Nuestra Señora del Vado.

The lineup includes the Duarte Ventura Quintet from Portugal and Only Funks on Friday, followed by Unilinte Trio and One Pac & Fellows on Saturday. The festival concludes Sunday with a screening of the film ‘Miles Electric: A Different Kind of Blue’.

In Tenerife, the Museo de Naturaleza y Arqueología (MUNA) is celebrating Mexico Day on September 16 as part of the 13th MUSA México Festival. The event features a concert by the group Los Sabandeños, performing Mexican popular music to honor the cultural ties between the Canary Islands and Mexico.

The concert will be held at the Antonio Pintor courtyard at 21:00, offering a repertoire that includes classics such as ‘México lindo y querido’ and ‘Noche de ronda’.
