Cultural festivals celebrate architecture and dance in Spain

The DART Festival in Barcelona is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a film program focused on architecture. The selection includes documentaries and short films that explore contemporary architecture through the lens of the people who inhabit it and the social decisions that shape built spaces. Key themes include the visibility of women architects, featuring works such as ‘Out of the Picture’ and ‘The Women of the Bauhaus’, as well as profiles of modernist figures like Josep Lluís Sert and Charlotte Perriand.

In Bizkaia, the Dantzaldia International Dance Festival has launched its 27th edition. Running from September 24 to December 15, the festival will feature performances across nine different venues, many of which offer free admission.
